A Daily Mass Goer - a Memorial on August 11

I recall as a child reading the lives of holy virgins and it never occurred to me to ask any questions on the meaning of a girl who is renowned for her virginity.  How this occurred to me to be an exemplary character in my condition was seriously featured in many of the decisions I foresaw would occur from what I saw in my younger siblings and their lack of knowledge in the sincere decision I found was exempt from them.

Is it common knowledge for any young child to sincerely understand the word and the seriousness of her person as virgin?
